The tolerance of wheelfs diameter is based on the following conditions.
Temperature: 25±5°C
Humidity: 40 - 60%RH

• Errors in length measurement have become larger as the measurement continued.
  
• Possibly the surface of the wheels has been worn out. Please consider replacing them with new ones.


• Soon after the installation of the length counter/sensor, large errors in measurement have been observed. Is this a defective product?
  
• There is a possibility that the wheels are slipping, which depends on the object of measurement.
  Please consider the way of installation and/or adjusting the pressure of the wheels on the object of measurement.


• What kind of phenomenon is it that the wheels are slipping?
• It is a phenomenon that the wheels are not rotating normally but are suffering some slips over the object of measurement.
  The force of friction between the wheels and the object of measurement prevents the wheels from sliding easily over the surface of the object. Therefore, the wheels slip when this force of friction gets lower, and the real length of object will be larger than the measured length.


• What is the factor that decides the accuracy of measurement by length counters?
  
• It is the accuracy of circumference of wheels.
  The counter itself is driven by coupling structure of gears, therefore, does not cause any error.
  In case length measurement with high precision is required, please consider employing the rubber wheels with calibration certificate.


• Do the wheels differ according to model?
• Our wheels can be installed on any model of our length counter/sensor RY1, MWC, CS, CT1 and CR series.
  There are two types of wheels: standard rubber wheel; optional urethane wheel.


• Is it possible to calibrate an urethane wheel?
• No, it is unfortunately not possible. It is only rubber wheels for metric measurement that can be calibrated.
