History

  • 1949 (February) – Following World War II, a trading company handling precision-measuring tools was inaugurated. This was based in Mintato-ku, Tokyo, Japan.
  • 1951 (March) – The "Line" brand was established with the opening of its first factory in Meguro-ku, Tokyo, Japan.
  • 1954 (April) - Line Seiki Co., Ltd. was incorporated and became known as a reliable manufacturer of counters.
  • 1961 (September) – More than 10 years after its inception, Line Seiki moved its head office to Meguro-ku. In the same month, the company expanded its manufacturing operations with the opening of a factory in Yamanashi Prefecture, in the island of Honshū.
  • 1988 (June) – Almost 40 years after its inception, Line Seiki expanded its operations to Seoul, Korea, with the establishment of Korea Line Seiki.
  • 1988 (July) – Rapid expansion followed with the opening of Taiwan Line Seiki in Taipei, Taiwan.
  • 1995 (August) – On its fifth decade, Line Seiki crossed over to the Philippines with the establishment of Line Seiki Philippines, Inc. in Cavite, Philippines.
  • 1999 (June) – On its 50th year, the company broadened its reach and entered more markets with the establishment of Line Seiki Asia Pacific, Inc., based in the Philippines.
  • 2006 (May) – Line Seiki Philippines, Inc. was recognized by the Philippine Export Zone Authority as an IT Enterprise.
  • 2007 (April) – Line Seiki beefed up its production capacity with the expansion of the production building of Line Seiki Philippines.
  • 2007 (July) – Cleanroom and COB facilities were established, enabling the company to perform delicate and critical sub-assemblies in-house, providing for higher quality products and better delivery times.
